New Mexico FIRST LEGO League
 FIRST® LEGO® League Junior

FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams explore today's scientific challenges, then present their research using Show-Me poster and a model with motorized parts made out of LEGO® elements.

Students in grades K-4 (ages 6-9) get to:
  • Design and build a challenge-related model using LEGO components
  • Create a Show-Me Poster and practice presentation skills
  • Explore challenges facing today's scientists
  • Discover real-world math and science
  • Begin developing teamwork skills
  • Choose to participate in events and celebrations
  • Engage in team activities guided by FLL Jr. Core Values

FLL Jr. Core Values

We ask that everyone associated with every FLL Jr. team understand and honor these core values.

  • We are a team.
  • We do the work. Our Coaches and Mentors help us learn, but we find the answers ourselves.
  • We share our experiences and discoveries with others.
  • We are helpful, kind, and show respect when we work, play, and share. We call this Gracious ProfessionalismTM
  • We are all winners.
  • We have fun!
