What is FIRST® LEGO® League
FIRST® LEGO® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children in grades 2-8 through fun, exciting hands-on learning.


Two divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.
FIRST® Core Values
The FIRST Core Values are the cornerstone of the FIRST LEGO League program. By embracing the Core Values, participants learn that friendly competition and mutual gain are not separate goals, and that helping one another is the foundation of teamwork

FIRST LEGO League Divisions
Students in grades 2-4 focus on the fundamentals of engineering while experiencing hands-on problem solving. Students will learn to design, code, and discover real-world solutions using LEGO bricks. Powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential or WeDo 2.0.
Students in grades 4-8 apply STEM skills to friendly competition, engaging in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering. They program a LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime or LEGO MINDSTORMS® robot to complete seasonal games and challenges in addition to researching, identifying, and solving a real-world problem relevant to the current theme.
