New Mexico FIRST® LEGO® League
FIRST® Tech Challenge

FIRST TechChallenge students learn to think like engineers and produce an engineering notebook to document their progress. Teams develop strategies, build robots from a reusable, kit of parts, and compete head to head. 

Students in grades 7-12 get to:
  • Design, build, and program robots
  • Apply real-world math and science concepts
  • Develop stratigic problem-solving, organizational, and team-building skills
  • Compete and cooperate in alliances at tournaments
  • Earn a place in the World Championship
  • Qualify for nearly $10 million in college scholarships
